Jennifer has been working in the travel industry for 16 years and opened The Tropical Travelers in 2001. Working in many facets of the industry, including tour operators, cruise line reservations and several travel agencies, has given Jennifer the knowledge to assist her many clients. Since then, her passion and love of travel have served her clients well. Specializing in all things tropical, Jennifer specializes in honeymoons, as well as vacations around the Caribbean, Mexico, Hawaii and South Pacific. Since she was a small child, Jennifer has always loved to visit hotels, often dragging the family through The Beverly Hills Hotel (it’s pink!) on the way to Disneyland.
“Offering my clients the most personalized service, as well as timely responses is what my business is based on. There are so many “discount” companies out there that offer no service at all. I wanted to offer a unique solution to my clients who are overloaded with cheap deals. Detailed knowledge of the tropics based on my personal travel is why my clients come back again and again,” says Jennifer.

After working with The Tropical Travelers to plan her dream destination wedding in Playa Mujeres, Mexico, Melissa never imagined that it would turn into an amazing new career opportunity! Being a very detailed and hands-on type person, Melissa had the time of her life assisting with the planning and decided to jump head first into planning incredible vacations and weddings.
Melissa loves being a travel agent almost as much as she loves to travel! She is known to spend several hours on each initial request, so that she can present the client with wonderful options. Her main goal as a vacation consultant is to provide excellent personalized service, great pricing, and the knowledge of a veteran traveler. Jacqi Hutton

With a background in sales and a love of travel, Jacqi fit right into The Tropical Travelers family. As a client of The Tropical Travelers for many years, Jacqi was well aware of the company’s goal of “delighting the traveler.” Having three children of her own caused yearly Disney trips to become the norm in her household. Jacqi has been setting up some amazing Disney vacations for our clients, as well as the oh-so-popular Disney Cruises. Jacqi is a graduate of the Disney of College Knowledge which gives her all the information our clients are seeking when planning their special vacation to the castle. With Jacqi’s firsthand experience at each of the Disney parks, she knows the ins and outs of the resorts, ticket packages, meal plans and entertainment and can put together a complete Disney vacation.
Kristy Hall
Vacation Consultant
After fifteen years traveling the world and writing about it, Kristy joined The Tropical Travelers as a travel consultant in 2008. Kristy’s clients benefit from her passion for travel and her attention to detail. When creating customized itineraries for her clients she thinks through every step of a trip, providing expert, personally-tested guidance on flights, accommodations and activities to make the most of their trip and experience. She has sent clients around the world including creating once in a lifetime itineraries for clients traveling to Southeast Asia, the South Pacific, the Mediterranean, Fiji and Australia. Some of her own personal favorite vacation destinations include: Costa Rica, Vietnam, Jordan and India. Kristy also specializes in family travel and babymoons.

Jennifer Carr
Vacation Consultant
Jennifer obtained a Bachelors Degree from Penn State University in 2003 and then completed the 1st Class Travel and Tourism Academy in 2008. After completing the Travel Academy she became an Independent Contractor for a store-front agency, and now has the wonderful opportunity to work for Jennifer Byrne and The Tropical Travelers. She always tells everyone, “I have had a passion for travel for as long as I can remember, and I LOVE traveling as much as possible!”
After having her own destination wedding in Nassau, Bahamas, she decided that my career focus would be in the market of destination weddings and honeymoons. The Tropical Travelers has many wonderful wedding coordinator contacts at fabulous resorts throughout the Caribbean and Mexico. We don’t work with every hotel, only resorts that ensure us our clients’ weddings will be everything they dream of. Her specialization is the Caribbean and Mexico, although she herself also enjoys traveling to more exotic locations such as Belize, and even Iceland!
